What is a song or music that every non-American should listen to?

  1. I’d say in general, just 90s/00s country. Granted, I don’t know if that’s already listened to internationally, so don’t roast me for that.

If not, then I highly recommend it. Alan Jackson, Shania Twain, Kenny Chesney, Billy Currington, etc.

One that immediately comes to mind is People are Crazy by Billy Currington. Amazing story.

  2. Big Mama Thornton – Stronger Than Dirt

    BB King – Completely Well

    Jason Isbell – Southeastern

    Anything from John Prine

Allman Brothers – Brothers and Sisters

  3. The entire album In The Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel.

The album Doolittle by the Pixies.

Anything by Creedence Clearwater Revival (maybe just their greatest hits album

Anything by Simon and Garfunkle or just Paul Simon’s solo stuff specifically Graceland or Rhythm of the Saints.

Bob Dylan anything. Blonde on Blonde or a Blood on the Tracks for albums but the most classic is probably The Times They Are A-changing or Freewheeling.

The Ramones, the Misfits, Patti Smith.

    Aretha Franklin

    Dolly Parton

    Michael Jackson anything

Tupac, Biggie, the Beastie Boys, NWA, Eminem, Wu Tang, MF Doom

    Gnarls Barkley

    The Black Keys

Good lord, what do you like I could do song recommendations all day.

  4. Classic country & western. Bob Wills, Ernest Tubb, Buck Owens, Don Rich, Faron Young, Ray Price, Tex Ritter, etc.
