So I’m talking to this guy that I’ve known since high school. We hadn’t talked since sophomore year of highschool and now I’m 24 and he’s 23. I’ve always had a thing for him. He’s such an amazing genuine person and he’s so patient with me and truly accepts me for who I am, no judgement. There’s just a few issues. Things are always on his time. When he talks to me, it’s on his time. When he sees me (which is so rare) it’s on his time. When he calls me it’s on his time. He claims he really likes me and always texts me and calls me, but also says he doesn’t want to purse anything right now? I’m just confused because we literally talk like we’re dating and he’s always there for me, but he’s stubborn and can’t even make time to see me? He’s so nice though and every time I try and fall back he always texts me asking if he can call me and I say yes. But, I haven’t felt this kind of dynamic or connection with someone in a long time and idk if I should finally put my foot down and just fall back a little? Any advice? Looking for male and female perspectives as well.

He has a girlfriend, he has to work a schedule to fit you in when she’s not around. Have you been to his house, do you have his phone number, do you get to select where you two are going to meet, what time and for how long? Pretty sure you are a side chick and if you pull back he will stop pursuing you, then you aren’t playing his game and making it easy.
