I feel like i messed up

I don’t completely know if this would fit here, but its about my crush, not a current relationship

(for the record I am 13m and my crush is 13f, also I have never been in a relationship so I have to idea what I’m doing)

I feel like the only thing holding the entire “idea” that my crush liked me first is her friends. It started in the beginning of the school year (7th grade) and has been going on until around last week.

First, let me settle something. If I get into a relationship with someone, i don’t want it to be shipped or setup. I don’t care if it helps, but I don’t want that to be the main reason we end up together, which I personally believe is a pretty valid statement.

My crush just joined the school, this year and I’ve gotten to know her decently well. She made some friends in the beginning of year that “found” she liked me. That is how this all started. They didn’t know I liked her too :/. The problem is, her friends were basically shipping us and forcing us to be at least near each other often. As I said above I don’t like that, mainly because it makes the whole situation more awkward than it needs to be.

I accidentally made a deal to have her friends stop talking about it. I was put up to a push-up challenge and wanted to win. I am very strong for being 13m since I play football and was able to do 35 which is my personal best. Her friends said that if I beat 25 I was stuck. I wanted to keep my secret (me liking her), but I enjoyed when they said that she liked me because she was the FIRST PERSON TO LIKE ME IN A WHILE, so it made me feel good.

I feel stuck and I am obviously stuck in this situation. It has been going on for a while and I just want the whole thing to end and us just get together, even if it means shipping or being setup. What should i do?
