I just moved to an appartment and a light bulb went out a couple days after moving in. I asked my super if I’m responsible for it (which I figured was the case, good to check). She said yes but offered to cover the cost of the bulbs this time and I said sure, and was very thankful.

Was this selfish or rude? A part of me says it is.

  1. I think that a fine exchange. You know your responsibility now, but she’s helping this round, and helping you out. You said thank you and that’s that. Depending on where you live, the utility company may offer free bulbs for energy saving
