I was just wondering what type of shirts you wear underneath your sweatshirts/hoodies because I saw that many Americans have these graphic T’s and I’m wondering if you also wear something like these underneath a sweatshirt.

Or are there brands where you can buy multiple plain shirts for a cheaper price that you would use for this circumstance (so more like underwear). If so: What would these brands be?

(I know it’s kinda weird question but I had to ask bc of complicated personal reasons)

  1. I usually just grab a shirt that somewhat matches the hoodie color. Most of the time they are graphic t-shirts.

  2. T shirt.

Most of my T shirts are plain. I don’t really like big graphics on my shirts but I have a few like that.

  3. I am a little odd in that I always have an undershirt on whenever I am out. But I would never wear a hoodie without an overshirt as that would mean I can’t take my hoodie off in public if it gets too warm.

As for what I wear? Whatever I am wearing. It’s a mix of polos, graphic tees and plain black tees.

  4. Graphic T-shirts, usually. (I favor plain colors, but that’s just me). The hoodie/sweatshirt is generally a layer (where you might remove it and wear the t-shirt around), not a ‘topcoat’ (in the way that a dress shirt might be to an undershirt).

  5. Usually a t-shirt. If it’s cooler out, then maybe a long-sleeve T. Most of my tees tend to be plain colors from Uniqlo or H&M these days; I don’t have a whole lot of graphic tees.

If it’s a zip-up hoodie, then even more options. Like if I’m going to work, casual long-sleeve button-up or a polo.

  6. It depends on the weather it could be a tanktop, a short sleeve t-shirt, or a long sleeve shirt.

  7. Brands like Hanes and Fruit of a Loom sell 3 or 5 packs of plain T shirts. Mostly white but you can also colors like black or blue.

  8. I don’t have special shirts that I only wear under a sweatshirt or hoodie. I wear t-shirts or tank tops that I would wear without a sweatshirt in warm weather. Some of them have designs on them but most are plainer.

  9. For me it’s a t-shirt, but that’s what I always wear if I’m not particularly dressed up. If I’m dressed up, I’m wearing a collared Oxford shirt and a sportscoat, or a suit.

My t-shirts are almost all monochromatic, with a pocket, because I wear glasses and also have prescription sunglasses, and I like having the pocket to store the pair of glasses I’m not currently wearing.

  10. My boyfriend (40m) usually wears an undershirt and a graphic tee. I (38f) am typically in a sports bra and tanktop or graphic tee.

  11. Architect Jean Co. thermals in the winter, Fruit of the Loom short sleeve crew neck tees in the summer. Fruit of the Loom full zip hoodies all year round. No graphics on anything, keep it simple.

  12. I do the reverse, I have a lot of graphic shirts so often I will wear the shirt over the sweatshirt, effect is the same but the style is still there. As for a hoodie it’s always under and generally doesn’t matter since you can’t see it so I just wear whatever.

As for plain shirts you can buy 4-6 Hanes or Fruit of the Loom shirts in a pack for like 20 bucks at most clothing stores, big box stores, and online.

  13. Almost always a t-shirt. Some solid colors, but mostly shirts from places I’ve traveled to, the university I went to, sports/teams that I support, or random logo shirts.
