after rent and taxes but before paying other utilities? seems like it’d be mostly doable, but I’ll wait for someone from NY to comment.
That’s doable af you basically playing with 34k annually. Invest a third of that and you chillin
Doable if you have like 5 roommates
Easy assuming no car
I guess it is doable if you live with roommates, or live alone in of those tiny apartments that are barely the size of a walk-in closet.
That’s around $2800 a month. If you can keep fixed costs (basic food, phone, heat, electricity, insurance, etc.) under $1800, which should be doable as long as you’re single and not supporting a family. Then you have $1000 extra a month to do whatever with. I would save half and use the other as fun money to go out or for hobbies and such
After rent and taxes? Not difficult at all.
$200/week is plenty for kood, so about $10k gone. Maybe $1500-$3000 for clothes for the year. Public transportation costs vary, try taking the subway to work, then the bus, then walking and see what’s most practical and multiply by the number of days you work. And you’ll want to put at least 10k a year away for retirement and/or emergencies.
You should have plenty left over to play with. There are tons of cheap entertainment options in Manhattan.
