Knowing the meaning of words can be quite an asset. But sometimes, someone may build a bad habit of using a word way too many times than necessary. Like, some use ‘dude’ or ‘bruh’ too much.

So, how can we limit the use of such words?

  1. personally i just remain conscious that it’s a choice i’m making. i will slip up, but when i do it comes with a moment of re-acknowledging the change i want to make. eventually, it happens.

i use to use “like” to excess, dropped the habit. when i get too sweary for my liking i make the conscious effort to rein it in.
