People that like classic country, sure.
I don’t think Elvis was influenced by country music of his contemporaries. Rather country is influenced by Elvis
Wasn’t there another Elvis post recently? Lol looks like the same person. I guess you’re an Elvis fan?
I like country music and I like Elvis so that’s at least one.
You would never, ever hear Elvis played on contemporary country radio music stations…or anything older than the 90s for that matter. Most music media is very specialized in the US, most radio stations are owned by conglomerates with playlists generated by corporate interests. Playing Elvis next to Luke Bryan isn’t going to happen.
Country fan here. Nope! I listen to Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, but no Elvis.
I like country, but it’s pretty rare that I listen to music from before 1980. I’ll occasionally hear stuff from before then and think it’s pretty good, but I don’t care enough for it to seek it out. So no I don’t regularly listen to Elvis all though I see the appeal.
My local classic country show plays some rockabilly, including Elvis.
