What do you wish your mom had done differently when you were a teen? What did she do well?

  1. Stop fighting and arguing with my father over trivialities and be more feminine, be a mother.

  2. The last years of school I was so depressed I was hallucinating almost every night

Sometimes it was so bad I was paralyzed and couldn’t move, maybe as my body trying to defend itself, because if not for that I would have killed myself

There were times I was in so much pain I wanted to scream but sound wouldn’t come out

I have no idea how I survived my teenage years. In fact, truth be told perhaps I really didn’t survive them. She never even noticed

  3. Been able to maintain a proper relationship. It’s very important to have a dad and a mom in a kids life and for them to be able to see how a healthy relationship should work.

  4. Stuck around. In hindsight, she was selfish, arrogant, and had her head in the clouds.

However, she did teach me the value of reading, art, culture, money, taking care of yourself physically, and putting your best foot forward. I thank her for that.

  5. If wish, she had caressed me on my temple. She gave me everything except physical touch of a mother.
