I encountered a very weird phenomenon. I was about to reply something in a class and then felt my heart racing a lot. I did say it and still felt my heart. Then checked my heartbeat with my watch and it was normal!! So I was just imagining the racing heartbeats or I was just focused on it so much that it felt racing. anyone have any idea of that? I tried it on many other stuff that causes me some anxiety and that is the case too!. My watch is working just fine.

  1. In healthy people, the heart rate can get back to normal after a stressful episode quite quickly. Also, the *strength* of the heartbeats and their *frequency* are different measures.

    Perhaps that’s a better question for a doctor, rather than a social skills sub.
