Yes, we had a graduation and got diplomas
No. The teacher in last period gave us a bunch of records in a file to take home.
Yup.
That said, from what I’ve gathered middle school graduation ceremonies are generally done without caps and gowns, the diplomas are sometimes little more than printer paper, and overall the whole thing has much less fanfare compared to high school or college.
(I didn’t go to my own due to the school refusing to use my correct surname, and a middle school graduation not being worth the fuss of fighting back. Thankfully my high school used the right name, but if they hadn’t I would’ve put in the effort to fight back.)
Yep, it was called 8th grade “promotion” for my middle school. It was a graduation ceremony and we received diplomas.
