I assumed slowly as the food is processed
If i remember correctly first the sugar gets turned to energy, if u dont burn that energy it gets turned into fat later as a reserve for ur body (Thats all i remember about it from biology class years ago)
It happens very quickly after digestion. You don’t notice it because it’s too small a change to be noticed.
Even if you ate everything you could during a day, there’s only so much excess calories your body can handle. So you would gain maybe half a pound at most.
It’s constantly happening (assuming your body isn’t calorically deficient)
