Good, coming up on seven years together and engaged. We started long distance, moved in together after about a year, had to go back to long distance for school, and now we’re back together in person.
Distance doesn’t matter as long as you find the right person.
Some days I love not having to answer to anyone should I want to get a pizza or spend all day playing golf. Some days I miss sitting with someone laying in my lap while watching movies all day. Comes and goes.
I’m not doing that, but I’ve done several. I like it. I get brief periods where it’s intense and just relationship focused, then a lot of free time.
My friend did a job where he traveled Monday through Friday and was only home on weekends. He loved it for years because it gave him plenty of non-relationship time.
Usually it’s fine. But the USPS makes getting a Valentine’s Day gift to her a pain in the ass.
