1. Depends on the context, I’d say. Have you historically come across as a bit nosy/jealous? If not, and you’re friends with this person, so this person knows you, there’s really no reason why this person should think your motives are negative in any way.

2. Show interest I not being jaelous! If they are your friend just casually ask about the vacation in general and layer about the friend.
