My fwb and I [M22], were having sex today and suddenly noticed she was bleeding. She started bleeding while I was fingering her before any PIV. She recently started using a new birth control and says that spotting happens sometimes but that it hasn’t occurred in a while. When she noticed she immediately got upset and I tried comforting her by telling her its not her fault, she didn’t choose for it to happen and cuddled and kissed her lots, but she still got emotional and when I even joked about disinfecting the whole bed she got visibly upset. What else can I do to make her feel better?

  1. Talk to her. Tell her you’ve thought about it and realized joking was a poor choice on your part. Tell her what you would have said is that there’s nothing about a little blood that’s upsetting to you. That it’s just what bodies do. Then ask her what she would like you to do when things like happen. Blood happens.

Here’s a quick trick to get blood out. Always have hydrogen peroxide on hand. Take the item to the sink and pour a little onto to the blood. It’ll bubble like mad. Then pour a little more until it’s mostly gone or stops bubbling. Then rinse with warm water. Then launder.

The red is the oxygen bonded to the hemoglobin in the red blood cells. Hydrogen peroxide blows it up taking out the red.
