Wanna ask guy whom i used to date eralier to catch up

I used to casual date some guy but we stopped because he didnt want anything serious at the time. When we ended everythig i told him that i had some feelings for him, something like heads up if he would want smth more. We ended after he told me that he slept with someone else. Meanwhile i also slept with someone else but i didnt confess that because i thought that could be more than casual realationship. But that was pretty much end of things beetween us. We had really nice time while it lasted, that was about year ago. I think that im still not over him and wanted to catch up with him, would it be stupid if i asked him to grab a coffe?
