  1. Chips, dip, wings. You could get one of those cheese and deli meat and cracker party trays at the grocery store.

Basically snacky food, you can’t really go wrong.

  2. Snack food. If you want to make something homemade like a chip dip or nachos, that would work. Or store bought chips and dip work. You could bring a cookie tray. Most parties I’ve been to cater more towards salty snacks, but cookies have always been a hit.

Not sure if you work for a place where people tend to be more healthy or not. But you could always bring veggies and hummus or a vegetable tray if you want to go the healthier route.

  3. One thing not food related that always happens… paper towels and garbage bags. Never fuckin fails those two.

  4. Probably can’t have alcohol on company property, so that’s understandable. It can be seen as a liability unless you’re hiring a licensed caterer who will ID people, refuse to overserve, etc…

In many workplaces, they may assign a type of stuff to bring. Like last name A-F brings utensils, G-M brings chips, N-Z brings desserts.

If possible check with your co-workers or supervisor to see what others are bringing, then bring something else other tahn that. Chips, pretzels, soda, bottled water, La Croix (carbonated flavored water) would all be fine.

  5. If you want to bring liquids, a case of cold water is always welcome. A non drinking friend alway took a case of water to parties, it was well received.

Don’t bring anything that needs heating or refrigeration unless you know the set up at the party location.

Since most Super Bowl foods tend to be savory, how about something sweet like cookies or chocolate?

  6. Hey OP, is this your first Super Bowl Party because you’re newish to the US?

If so, it would be awesome if you brought a party snack or finger food of some kind from where you are from.

  7. Bring a couple of gallons of virgin drinks, strawberry lemonade, fruit punch made with fresh fruits, teas, fruit water or something besides soda.

  8. Soo this is going to sound hella basic but being a bowl and a huge bag of pretzels. I did this before and everyone.. I mean EVERYONE was eating those pretzels. I think as people drink, they want something quick and the saltiness is very addicting.

  9. Anything snacky is good. There’s usually a lot of savory/salty foods, so something sweet—fruit or cookies—is a good option. I currently have a pan of peanut butter brownies in the oven for my friends’ Super Bowl party.

  10. 1) Crock pot
    2) Lit’l Smokies
    3) Bar-B-Que sauce
    4) Let them Lit’l Smokies simmer for a few hours
    5) Stack some small paper plates & plastic forks next to it
    6) Watch them dissapear.

  11. Ecstasy. Weed. Stay away from opiates or LSD like drugs… this is a friendly event.

If you bring g Ectasy be sure to have a “cuddle zone” for casual touch interaction.

  12. I’d see if there’s a sign up sheet, and try to balance out what other people are bringing.

If it’s a lot of salty stuff like chips, bring brownies. If it’s heavy stuff like wings, bring something light like fruit.

Guacamole is often a big hit.

An easy option is apples and cinnamon dip.

Take apples (whichever ones look loveliest at the store), cut into thin slices. Toss the slices with a little lemon juice so they don’t turn brown.

Then in a bowl, make a dip: roughly one part ground cinnamon, two parts orange marmalade, three parts plain yogurt. Tweak the amounts until it’s just right. Stir until combined.

It’s a refreshing twist on chips and dip.

  13. Ask the host. Suggest something that’s:

    1. Easy to make in quantity

    2. Transportable

    3. Doesn’t require kitchen space/oven

    4. Keeps well for several hours

    Edit: 5. Isn’t too messy

If you want a Mexican theme, bring cold tortilla pinwheels. Put whatever you want on a tortilla. Make a variety with some hot, some mild, meat, whatever. Make the day before (today), roll up and wrap tightly in plastic wrap. A half hour before going over, cut into disks and put in a covered container. Have them layered by type. Meets all the requirements above and you get to be creative.
