How long does someone have to drive before they’re no longer considered a new driver?

  1. I don’t think there’s like, a legal definition but I’d say at least a full 4 seasons if you live somewhere with a variable climate.

Insurance companies would probably say 16-18 year-old drivers.

  2. Depending on how often you drive I’d say 1 year +

When you’re fully confident driving with your dad in the car then you’ve made it.

  3. In Australia you need 120 hours of driving experience to get your P plates where you can then drive alone (with a few restrictions) your P plates last a few years. So I guess it takes about 4 years, but new I would classify as like still L plates and maybe the first few weeks of P plates.
