Different games are popular in different countries. Carom billiards, pool, snooker, pyramid and other kinds of billiards have many specific varieties.

Do people play 8-ball pool, like they do in the US? Or is there a native game that is more common?

  1. The Italian traditional version of billiards is a very fascinating game in my opinion. It’s basically carom but with small pins in the middle of the table that you can knock down to gain or lose extra points.

Most pool halls have one table for this game and all the rest are American style tables on which 8 ball is the most played game.
