what is your favorite quality about having a significant other?

1. Feeling more safe and secure

2. Sex.
   Someone to sing with.

   Aside from those, I don’t really see any benefits. I wish I did, though.

3. He’s always here for me. We’ve only been together for not quite three years at this point but in most every moment that I’ve needed someone to lean on- he’s been right there. Obviously I’m there for him too but always having somebody to lean on is great.

4. How we balance each other. I’m the one who brings the diversity and randomness and he is the peace, rational and consistency.

   Also. I love his smell.

5. Someone to hold when the times get tough. When I look at him, I’m home.

6. He knows me inside out. He’s the only reason I’ve survived med school, my rock, no 1 supporter. Can talk about anything and everything without ever getting judged or looked down upon.

7. Having someone to go to a restaurant or bar with on a regular basis, and sex. Nothing else. I currently do not have, or want, a significant other. I’m still enjoying the single life after divorcing my alcoholic husband eight years ago.

8. Safety and regular good sex.
