Condoms won’t prevent herpes, HPV(genital warts), syphilis, or monkeypox(now classified as a STI). You cannot double up on condoms or they will be ineffective and could cause breakage. Condoms will decrease sensitivity so in a way it can lessen pleasure but getting the proper size condoms and thin ones can help alleviate that.
You can use a male or a female condom but don’t use both at the same time. Using both at once doesn’t give you double protection and actually increases the risk because the condoms are more likely to break.
Condoms can break, so all of them. You can get STDs from toilets. Other than that, monogamy with comprehensive tests between switching partners should prevent most.
You are at higher risk if you both use a condom at the same time. They are not designed to be used that way and will break. it is important to follow all of the proper storage and use instructions on the condom properly. It’s always best to use two methods of birth control but you must use them properly such as condom and a spermicide or a condom and the pill. Things like using two condoms or taking Plan B on top of regular birth control put you at higher risk. You would be best served by talking to a medical professional about your risk factors and how to mitigate them. With partners you can get tested.
First of all you should both get tested. There are some organisations that provide them for free or a low fee. Just google for “free std test [country | city]”.
In germany it’s the governments health department. Your country might subsidise something similar.
