Might have precum in outside of pants

So basically I can’t remember what I was as thinking about but I had a boner so my dick was out of my pants a little bit, but I felt something come out of my dick, like you know when you have a little drop of pee, it felt like that. However I am worried it was precum and I believe that because my dick was out of my underwear and just in my pants that it got on the actual pants. What should I do? Should I wash that spot, and do you guys think it was precum? Thanks

Edit: I’m not as much worried about a stain, just that if it will make me smell
