I just want to get an idea of exactly how much am I lacking socially. I don’t remember the last time I had a conversation through text with another person. Maybe in November?

  1. I text my sister or she texts me every day. Ever since I started living alone, we have an agreement that if I ever go 12 hours without responding, she should come over and check on me.

Text various friends sporadically throughout the week and my mom a few times.

  2. Every day, without fail. Different people, different subjects, but texting has completely replaced e-mail for primary communications with old friends, schoolmates, etc. Only thing I do “email” for anymore is business outreach/contacts and that’s because “text” is too personal for that type of contact.

If you haven’t texted “anybody” since November? Yeah, probably socially cut-off, either by choice or circumstance. Reach out and txt someone!

  3. Daily, at least. With some folks, it’s a while between times, but I’m texting with someone daily for sure.

  4. I send a couple of text messages most days, but most of those don’t qualify as *”conversations”* in my mind, since 99% of the time it’s just 1-5 message lines, usually a question and an answer.

Text rather sucks for having any kind of long meaningful conversations. I much prefer to have those face to face or over the phone.

  5. I text multiple people daily, but if you haven’t texted anyone since November then it might be time to reach out and start a conversation with someone!
