Edit: Why most of you thinks your mothers are lying when they say they love you?

  1. Not just moms but “I promise I’ll never let anything bad happen to you”

Really why make that promise knowing full well you can’t keep it

  2. I clearly am not the most handsome guy on earth otherwise I would have a modeling gig by now.

  3. “I promise I’ll never try to keep you from your dad.” One order protection later and force apperence for child support later. Crazy how standard this is.

  4. When mothers say their ugly son is handsome I don’t think they’re lying, they believe this.

  5. I don’t think my mother is lying to me when she speaks to me, but I do think her perspectives on things are distorted by her affection for her child.

  6. To answer your edit: because women are incapable of unconditional love. It is *always* conditional, and in their case, the condition is fulfilling expectations.

they’ll keep saying it, but it’s more about making sure you don’t cut contact entirely

  7. Wouldn’t say lies as such, but they give awful dating advice and advice on picking up girls

‘Just be nice and treat her’
