Inspired by watching Damon Albarn in a Genius video. Born in the 80’s myself, seeing all these former pretty boys of the 90’s: Leonardo DiCaprio, Damon Albarn, Alex James and co aging and morphing into something pretty far away from what they looked like at the height of their fame, I figure that we all deal with aging but that men like them probably must feel some type of way regarding what they look like now and how they used to look and that that specific male perspective is kind of never told.

So, title and TIA for sharing.

  1. Excerpt from a favorite poem:
May memory restore again and again
The smallest color of the smallest day:
Time is the school in which we learn,
Time is the fire in which we burn.
    – Delmar Schwartz

In essence, it sucks to see the loss of your old glory, but it’s the price you pay for the knowledge you gain. Would I love to have my 20 year old body again? Hell yes. Would I trade my accumulated knowledge for it? Probably not.

  2. The confidence I have in my mid-30s is so much better than the physical attractiveness of my mid-20s.
