Ever since I got pregnant 8mos ago, I started noticing how my husband prioritizes his father (senior and widowed) over me. Now every little decision he makes that concerns me and his father, I see that he favors his father more.
For example, one time on my 6th month of pregnancy, we checked in on a studio type condo. His father offered to sleep on the floor (with a mattress) so we can sleep on the bed, but my husband insisted that his father take the bed and we’ll be the one to sleep on the floor.
Another time, both me and my husband are supposed to move to a new rental house the same time his father is moving to a new place. He made sure that his father was settled in first before us and took care of the expenses (rental fees, hauling etc.) And now we’re short on money and has lesser budget for a new rental since he already spent so much for his father.
I felt as if it was wrong. Were his family now, me and my baby. We should be the priority. Was it wrong? Or am I just overthinking and jealous?
TLDR : Husband still prioritizes his father over us, his new family. Is my observation reasonable or am I just overthinking ?
