We went on one date and we’ve already decided to go on a second date. I want to buy her a $10 Starbucks egift card. I don’t know if it’s too soon or not. I also don’t want to take the chance of another guy buying her something while I gave her nothing lol

UPDATE: I decided against it. The replies are correct.

  1. Being concerned that your competition will out-buy you does not communicate strength and confidence—the two attributes that the majority of women find the most attractive.

I would not buy a gift for someone that I’ve only been on one date with—it says that you’re already over-invested.

    Good luck!

  2. If you’re still worried about another dude giving her a gift for valentines, it’s definitely too soon to be thinking about that

  3. There’s just about nothing more impersonal than a gift card, even if it’s to a place she’ll like. Show up with her favorite thing from Starbucks. Small and insignificant, but very thoughtful. Remember something she said about something she likes and bring that.

When a woman tells me she likes a certain drink or her favorite food, you better damn sure believe I’m taking her to dinner at a place that has it and I’m sure as fuck going to be letting her know where to find it on the menu. “This place makes a great moscow mule.”
