I have a friend that only seems to be interested in talking about a single particular topic. He never talks about anything else with me, he will sometimes mention oh I was busy doing X thing and it’ll be something I think we also have this in common but she’ll just ignore I ever asked about it and continue to only talk about the specific topic we both like.
A long time ago they did mention to me that they don’t like talking about their personal life, but like… talking about your interests and passions are not your personal life, I think.
Forgot to add, that it’ll be very quiet between us for weeks, until someone brings up something new about the same old story.
are they just friends with me for that single thing ? am I being used ? Is this normal for friends ?
