In what ways do you think women are still disadvantaged in the workplace?

  1. Dress codes are a big one. They are almost always geared to control the attire of women and minorities.

  2. They still get paid less than their male colleagues that do the same job and have the same level of seniority.

  3. Men taking control of a meeting? – leadership

Women taking control of a meeting? – bossy harpy

  4. In coveted roles, women are more likely to be seen as either diversity hires or as having slept their way to the top.

  5. Women are always put in charge of all “house-keeping” chores, like dishes, etc.
There’s always some form of extra dress code/expectations.
Assertiveness is mistaken for being rude.

  6. unpopular opinion but i believe if a man can do more physical work then a women, such as lifting more materials and getting more work done, then he should be payed more because of how much more work he’s accomplished. same goes for two men. i believe a man who has accomplished more work should be paid more for doing a significantly greater amount of work then his other male peers. work hard = more money, if you physically can’t work hard in than region of work than job isn’t for you and you should find something that suits your work ethnic. just an opinion.
