Have you brought up marriage with a partner and they said they don’t see the point? What was the result from the discussion?

1. This hasn’t happened in my life personally, but hypothetically if marriage is what I wanted and they said that in response, I would end the relationship because that is a big value misalignment.

2. My ex was against marriage because he was obsessed with the idea of losing half of his stuff in a divorce. I convinced myself that I was okay with it and that it wasn’t important to me. Thankfully we broke up for other reasons so I could be with someone who wants to marry me.
