I (20F) feel like I am being unfaithful to my ex (21M).
My ex (21M) and I (20F) started dating right before 2020. We’ve had a relationship which lasted for around 2 and a half years. Then we broke up due to distance (he had moved to another city to go to uni). While we were still in contact for a few weeks (thinking that we are going to get back together) I learned that he had something going on with my bestie (mainly se*ting). Through out this 1 year we were on and off. Sometimes fighting etc.
People who are around him told me a couple of times that he is moving on with his life but they refused to give me details. I am sure that he flirted with other but not sure if there were any intimacy. We have started talking again and its been going for around 2 weeks. Few days ago I kissed another boy. I didn’t like it, I don’t know why I did it. Normally it would not annoy me this much, because as I said he did some horrible things to me and also we are not together for about 1 year, but the fact that I saw my ex the day after made me think that I am a cheater. What do you guys think? Did I betray him?
TL;DR I am still in contact with my ex. A few days ago I met a guy whom I had some intimacy with. Now I feel like I have had betrayed.

You can’t cheat on someone who isn’t your partner. Period.
You can’t cheat on someone you’re not in a relationship with. You’ll probably start to feel better if you cut contact with your ex and stop acting like you’re still together!
Maybe it’d be best for your emotional well-being to end contact with your ex. It’ll probably help you heal faster/better.
You didn’t cheat. U feel like you did because you still have feelings for him and you feel there’s a possibility of getting back together.
Nothing you can do but to do you. If he wants to be with you and u want to be with him, you’d be together. Apparently that’s not the case. It’s time to move on. The damage has been done. Neither of you can trust one another. It will most likely never work out. Sorry if that’s hurtful but it’s the truth
