  1. Yes, as an Episcopalian I will celebrate Shrove Tuesday as I have every year since my infancy.

However, since we don’t have a state religion, this observance is generally limited to those from a few specific religious traditions.

  2. I just watched Laurence from Lost in the Pond. He has his wife on for them to make pancakes for pancake day!

  3. This was asked yesterday, but it’s more well known as Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras. Every day can be pancake day here

  4. In the US we celebrate pancake tuesday next week- IHOP gives out free pancakes every year in the US.

  5. Nope. The only pancake day I celebrate is when IHOP gives away free shortstacks, and that is next week.

  6. No, we do Fastnacht in my family, which means I get to have a doughnut for desert.

Every Saturday morning is pancake day for us, and because we live in Vermont, that means we eat it with maple syrup.

  7. I am not catholic so do not celebrate Mardi Gras or Lent. As such I do not typically participate in the pre-fast celebratory feast meals associated with Mardi Gras such as Shrove Tuesday Pancakes, Fat Tuesday Paczki, Mardi Gras King Cake, etc. Pancakes are also a standard breakfast option and not a once a year special thing.

  8. I make pancakes every Sunday. Every Sunday is pancake day. Today was not pancake day. Today was scrambled eggs day.

  9. I ate a chocolate almond croissant for breakfast. Does that count?

Seems a decent amount of Fat for this Tuesday

  10. No. I’m making multiple pasta dishes, sides and desserts for us to feast on to celebrate the start of Lent.

  11. Here, we celebrate Mardi Gras on Shrove Tuesday and say, “Laissez les bons temps rouler!” Mardi Gras comes with its own set of foods, traditions, and celebrations. The biggest one is in New Orleans where it’s as fantastical as Brazilian carnival. People decorate their houses, wear elaborate costumes, and there’s a parade with fancy floats throwing beads into the crowds. [The floats get sophisticated](https://youtu.be/vhxsX8i_G0k). The party goes til dawn. Really can’t describe how crazy this celebration is. You just have to google “New Orleans Mardi Gras”
