What food do you cook perfectly ??

  1. Omelettes. I don’t make a complete mess of them anymore by trying to flip them.

  2. According to my mom, everything! She loooooves when her children cook for her.

  3. Important preface: pancakes are usually made savory in Brazil, rolled and filled like enchiladas.

After years of practice I finally perfected my grandma’s spinach pancakes, and added my own twist! Hers were filled with ground beef and white gravy, I skip the gravy and add mushrooms instead, it’s amazing.

  4. Any type of roux/pudding/curd. Idk why but I’m really good at making stuff thick.

  5. Eggs. Soft scramble, hard scramble, hard boiled, fried, any shape for any type of sandwich.

  6. Rice!!! It took me forever to learn to cook rice but now I can just eyeball the water and grains and it’s always perfect.

  7. Jammy soft-boiled egg, marinated for topping ramen.

I can even peel them perfectly on a good day.

  8. Pasta. I can make like 5 different types of sauces from scratch and I’m pretty proud. I also nail the “add pasta water to slightly undercooked pasta and sauce so they combine for perfect texture” thing and it makes me feel 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽

  9. My Ramen got a lot of praise so I will go with that.
If baking is allowed I would go with my new york cheesecake, pretty proud of that one.

  10. I am, at best, a utilitarian cook. I know enough to feed myself, but I’m nothing to write home about in the kitchen.

But damn do I ever make some bomb-ass sweet crepes when I have a mind to.

  11. a slow cooked tomato and meat sauce, and my boyfriend seems to be able to perfectly cook spaghetti (the perfect al dente) without even checking it so we make quite the team

  12. I don’t know what’s it called, they’re kind of Indonesian inspired pastries with ground beef and saté (Indonesian peanut sauce) as the main ingredients in it, I’ve learned the recipe at high school and modified it by adding sambal (Indonesian hot sauce), onions and garlic, I got tons of compliments each time I make this for my family. My dad is Indonesian and his brothers and sisters love it.

  13. boiling little baby potatoes, put them in a bowl with all my usual baked potato toppings and enjoy that shit to the fullest extent
