Where are great cities and states in the US to raise your children to play hockey and become a pro?

  1. Minnesota, Michigan, Colorado, New York, NoDak, maybe Wisconsin and possibly Illinois. The first 4 I named though are probably tied for first.

  2. Minnesota, Colorado, North/South Dakota, and Alaska (though that brings other challenges). Vermont, New Hampshire, and Northern New York could also work.

  3. Minnesota, Michigan, Massachusetts, New York, and apparently Illinois are the top 5 states, in order, when it comes to creating the most currently active NHL players.

Worth noting that Minnesota is home to 18 more guys than Michigan and 41 more guys than Illinois. So if you want to be responsible for the next Chris Chelios or something, finding yourself a woman from there’s probably your best bet.
