A few weeks ago I met a girl at the bus stop on our way back to our city (we were on the same bus and I saw her in but we didn’t talk until we were there), after a small chat I asked her for her number and she said no problem and gave it to me, i got on my bus to my house and she took hers after. We talked for a few days I asked her out and she agreed. Then after a few days she stopped texting me back. I texted her again asking like if she wanted us to keep knowing each other or going out, and she told me that we just hanged out in a friendly way, and that she never had other intentions.

After this, I should just stop trying to talk to her completely? I already accepted that I got it wrong and I’m not trying to “stay friendly until she realizes she likes me” or something like that, but I would like to keep her as a friend because she was actually pretty funny and we had a couple of common interests, considering also I had virtually no friends, and I need more social connection. But is this even possible or I fucked it up completely? Should I like wait a few weeks then texting her or just move on entirely?

  1. Just keep talking to her and hanging out. Just don’t make it awkward by trying to treat her like she is more than a friend. If you feel like you can’t do that, then it might be best to just let her go.

Maybe tell her the same thing you said on this post – that despite her not being interested in a romantic relationship, you are interested in being friends. Find out what her thoughts are and if she is comfortable with that.
