Yeah, but it was because I want to be married to another woman and that person was homophobic.
Honestly, by my best friend. She is married to a great guy, but I don’t know if they were really ready for marriage or what, but it isn’t going well. (I do know that I believe marriage is something different then she does). She was happy for me getting married to my love, but was also super negative about it. It was kind of awkward because when I’d want to tell her all my thoughts and feelings she couldn’t just be happy for me, she’d just project her own experience onto mine. Telling me it would only end in divorce, that we’d be happier without getting married, that it was a pointless thing to do. It really hurt my feelings, but I got married anyways (obviously) and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.
