How do you maintain healthy relationships with others without your mental illness completely pushing them away?

  1. Therapy, grounding, and going through medications like candy until I found the right one. BPD takes years to even get it through our heads in therapy how shitty we are when we are immature and can’t handle ourselves. I’m about to be 25 and just got mental health together more when my daughter was born and I wasn’t busy destroying my life and blaming my own issues everyone and everything. I’ve been in therapy since I was 5 so yeah. BPD is a bitch, but don’t let that excuse you from getting yourself together before it’s too late.

  2. as much as it’s probably been harped at us… dbt.

    dearman skill especially for me.

but i don’t know what specifically you have problems with…
