Pushovers won’t stand up for themselves.
pushovers tend to go around secretly or not so secretly being miserable. Agreeable people who aren’t push overs have their anxiety issues but generally day to day are optimistic
Did you have to ask twice? Then they’re probably being a pushover.
Agreeable people still have boundaries but they generally trust that you’re going to take good care of them.
A pushover will sacrifice their boundaries and be secretly resentful until they over-correct and resent you.
Pushovers will cooperate with someone despite the fact that they will not gain anything from it or are even losing because of it.
Someone who is agreeable will cooperate even when it means less profit but will not accept being taken advantage of.
Now, these are some fine words that I used there but these days it seems necessary to point out that the definitions of what is a loss or a benefit have become a degenerate clusterfuck, to twist the nature of social dynamics.
I cant think of a single example in which the distinction would matter to me. So I typically dont.
