I can usually start stuff and make a few jokes but after awhile i kinda run outta things to say its just awkward silence

  1. Listen carefully to what other people have to say. Really carefully. You will understand where they are coming from with what they say and you will always have something to talk 🙂

  2. Here are a few tricks:

    * “It reminds me …”
    Then you talk about an anecdote slightly related to the previous topic, or a movie etc.
    * Open ended questions
    Avoid questions where answer is “yes” or “no”
    * Compliment something on their outfit, especially if you think they made efforts on it.
    Like cool hat or watch, elegant and chosen items… maybe they have something to say about it.

    Also, don’t try to make too much efforts especially if the other person doesn’t make efforts to maintain the conversation. It’s okay to let go at some point.
