Is a handshake good when you meet up with a female friend?

1. I wonder about handshakes in general these days, to be honest. Since the pandemic, they don’t seem to have recovered as the norm, at least where I live. What do you think?

2. I usually go for hugs. You can do a hand shake if you want but I think hugs are more appropriate.

3. You can always wait and see what they initiate? Either way, I don’t think they would ever spend long than a split second thinking about it. A lot of people find greetings awkward!
