I’m 18F, and recently bought a dildo for myself with some spare cash I had lying around. I’m a virgin and I’ve tried to go slow and take my time easing it in but it hurts. I understand that you have to stretch your hymen so Ive been trying to do that beforehand, as well as using lots of lube, but when I try to put it in it feels like there’s something preventing it from going maybe an Inch inside of me. I’m not too worried about it but I’d just like advice on how to help the pain a little bit. I was thinking I could try a different position, as i’ve been using missionary but that doesn’t seem to do the trick. Any suggestions?

  1. Your hymen is likely too tight. I had a septate hymen that didn’t cause me any issues until one day it trapped a tampon in me, if I’d have had anything beyond a finger or two up there prior it would have been an obvious issue lol. Had the excess hymen surgically removed (didn’t hurt at all!)

Might be worth looking at your anatomy, and going very very slow. Use a vibrator and have an orgasm or a few beforehand, and gently and slowly try to stretch your vaginal opening with lots of lube. It may take a few weeks of this for it to feel comfortable. Don’t push yourself to the point of pain and risk injury.

I have a similar issue with fisting, if I haven’t done it in quite a while my hymen shrinks down, I need to be very incredibly turned on and take time loosening it up before I can let anything girthier than 3 fingers visit, or else it can cause tears.

  2. I would try to do clitoral orgasm first to really get the juices flowing and then try the dildo. It also sounds like you might not be fully aroused which can cause it to not feel good too. Breath relax, and maybe try even a smaller dildo first and work your way up.
