It is allowed, they are not allowed to serve alcohol though.
Yes it is!
If you are the child of the landlord you can be any age and do odd bits.
If you are in training you can do almost anything from 14.
If you are being supervised by an adult you can do almost anything at 16.
A minor cannot cash up or be alone on the premises, but otherwise they are all good!
It’s not too dissimilar to Australia in most states, but Britian is definitely a bit more relaxed, and you don’t need to be able to see the person training or responsible for the minor for them to be there. If you are concerned you can always ask them and they should always know the whereabouts of the person training them, but otherwise don’t worry, nothing shady is going on!
They can’t serve what they can’t drink, other than that they are golden
Yes. They can’t serve alcoholic drinks though.
Yup, as others say they can’t serve alcohol (or maybe they just can’t take payment for it) but there’s loads of other stuff to be done in a pub. Kitchen work, cleaning, general upkeep, etc.
Yep, Worked in one when I was 16, if you’ve had a good night you could even get a free pint after closing.
No. They’re only qualified to work in coalmines. 😩
