My sister has been chatting with this guy for a while now (2 weeks) through bumble and they are planning to meet soon. She knows he isn’t travelling anywhere and had seen him posting about the coffee places near his place on insta. However, on bumble he has switched on the travel mode to various countries in a span of three days LOOL

It’s an instant turn off for me & I think it’s a red flag. My sister on the other hand doesn’t mind it.

I want to know what’s your pov on this..

  1. Considering they haven’t met and it’s not a mutually exclusive relationship there is no issue with him continuing to look around at the moment. This isn’t a red flag.

  2. My immediate thought was that he’s avoiding matching with anyone new, but not closing his account for a girl he hasn’t met yet.

If they’d been seeing each other for a while – or even met AT ALL – or even texted for more than a dozen and a half days… THEN it would look weird and sketchy to me; but this just feels like a pause to see where one match goes (because playing the numbers game is exhausting) before looking for more matches.

My POV: You immediately assuming a nefarious motivation behind his actions says more about *your* experiences with terrible people than anything your sister or the guy she’s been chatting with has said or done.

Maybe your sister and I are naive. Maybe you’re jaded from too many players in OLD. Maybe both. Either way, I’m glad she has someone watching her back.

  3. My guess is that your sister or he talked about future plans and that he have something there that he is nervous about. Based on previous experience. Could be something major or something minor. Like, say he exaggerated and added 200$ on his salary if they talked about it or she wants kids but that’s too fast/huge for him to consider, or something. Keep an eye on things, maybe he’ll travel and wont exaggerate/agree as fast next time and she gets a broken heart… But ah, my predictions are based on my experience, so… Just guesses and maybes. Minor red flag?
