  1. I’m an engineer in the aerospace industry. I don’t enjoy all of it but there are parts that are deeply satisfying and parts that are fun.

  2. Yes, I work in corporate accounting. School was hard but the job is easy and it pays well.

  3. Before I stayed home, I worked at a bank. It had its ups and downs, but I loved it. I love math I love calculation, I loved that the answers were black and white

  4. I was a cashier at a small local store for a while. I quit my job as a Software Engineer and went to work there instead.

It was the best 8 months of my adult life so far. Made me realize how awful corporate life is. I had to go back to pay for medical bills, and now I’m miserable again. Looking for a way to go back to my dream job.

  5. Project manager for clinical research. I work from home and have great benefits, great money, and a great work-life balance.

  6. Psychiatric nurse. It’s not all sunshine and roses but overall I enjoy it. I’ve recently moved into ward management.

  7. Yes I do. Corporate environment, as long as I get the job done I have a lot of freedom over how where and when I do it. Also pays well so I have a comfortable lifestyle and able to go on holidays etc

  8. Bakery. The owner has actually purchased a couple recipes from me for specialty (vegan, gluten-free) goods

  9. Cop assigned to investigations. Specifically working on ICAC, sex crimes, and homicide cases.

  10. I’m a library worker (paraprofessional, almost finished with my Master’s in Library Science). I’m in a union shop so I work exactly 37.5 hours/week. The benefits are much better than most in the private sector (generous PTO, decent health coverage, tuition assistance). I enjoy working with the public, but I know it’s not for everyone. I know that my work has value and is giving back to my community.

The only caveat is the pay is awful, and I hate that I have to invest in a Master’s to earn a barely living wage. My family has been extremely generous and unfortunately, for this reason I would only recommend this field if you have a safety net – either family money or a spouse to help support you. It feels icky to say this but that’s just the reality of the situation.

  11. I’m a data scientist in the pharmaceutical industry. It’s interesting work and I get to work from home.

  12. I’m a teacher working with teenagers and I love it! Some days are hard and the admin side is mad but I love working with young people

  13. I’ve worked in restaurants and at amazon which both gave me panic attacks and made me miserable. I drew blood in a pediatric office for a while and that was great. It was nice making the lab tests tolerable for kids when they were scared.

  14. I’m in accounting and I generally enjoy it. Might not be for everyone and it’s not the most exiting, but I like playing around on Excel.

  15. Fully! I’m an operations supervisor for a pipeline company. Great group of guys working for me, lots of autonomy, and helping the team grow and improve is incredibly satisfying.

  16. I’m an MRI technologist and I take really cool images of inside the body with really neat technology and the power of physics. Yesterday I scanned a heart and the images are just gorgeous, seeing the blood flow and the heart beating is amazing. 🥹

  17. I studied finance but I currently work as an admin at a school. I love my day-to-day work and my colleagues. But my boss is the worst leader I have ever had the misfortune of working for and I can’t wait to quit and give her the finger. Just have to get a job elsewhere.

  18. Sales operations manager. It’s remote work, I know it like the back of my hand, and has a great work life balance. Not my dream job (If I had a choice I’d be painting or sculpting all day) but it pays really well and it gives me the time and means to pursue my hobbies. So In that sense I enjoy it

  19. Yes, I’m a food scientist for a major ag company. They treat us right and care about us as people!!!

  20. It’s funny because the social nature of this job is absolute torture for me.. But the reasons I “enjoy it” are:

    1. It’s in the AC, which is never off.
    2. Okayish work-life balance with just 25/hours M-F
    3. I’m good at it
    4. My supervisor is like a big sister to me and I have a little group of women in my department that so fun to be around and match my energy.

Everyone else hates working here for a variety of reasons but my little nook of the office is a special one. It doesn’t matter what my job is, If I didn’t have those enjoyable aspects I would have just quit years ago.

  21. Yup! I work in Marketing for food companies. It’s exciting because food can be innovative, trendy, delicious and I like sharing cool new finds.

  22. I’m a middle school special education teacher, I loveee working with kids. I just hate everything else about education

  23. Yes, I’m a conservator specialized in archeological objects and sites. It’s hard sometimes when you have to work outside in bad weather and it can be stressful when you’re treating an important object, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. Every assignment is different and I get to handle cool ancient objects!
