Take a break: If you find yourself getting extremely angry, take a step back from the situation and give yourself time to calm down. This can help you avoid saying or doing something you might regret later.

Practice deep breathing: Take slow, deep breaths to help you relax and calm down. Inhale deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.

Identify the source of your anger: Try to figure out what is causing your anger. Sometimes anger is a reaction to stress or a feeling of being out of control. Once you identify the source of your anger, you can work on addressing it.

Use positive self-talk: Try to use positive affirmations or self-talk to calm yourself down. Remind yourself that you are in control of your emotions and that you can handle the situation.

  4. I remove myself from the situation. Leave the room, go for a walk, go home, just get away. I need quiet. Do a 3 minute meditation with my eyes closed. Then, deal with the problem after I’ve slept.
