Sorry for the long post,I’m excited and extremely happy.

I can’t believe I’m engaged!! I had a feeling it was going to happen soon but I thought it was going to be on a different day because nothing was adding up for me but nope, I got engaged on March 3rd and it’s the birthday gift I could’ve ever received (I’m counting it as birthday gift lol my birthday is next Tuesday).

I literally don’t want to take the ring off, I think my partner is the only person out there that has said “take the ring off” to their fiancé because I wouldn’t take it off to go to sleep. I’m still on cloud 9, the proposal was amazing, the ring is amazing, the man is absolute perfection and I can’t wait to get married to the love of my life. As someone who didn’t believe in weddings,I’ve come full circle.

The proposal.

For weeks I’ve had a feeling that either my boyfriend was going to propose or something big was going to happen, especially with my birthday coming up and him always doing huge surprises and plans for it. My partner knows how i want to be proposed too and one of the main things was that I wanted our families present because they’ve been a huge part of our story and he already had a ring because he has proposed to me in the past but that’s another story and the ring is a dream.

As time went I decided that a proposal was not in the works because our families were doing other stuff. My sister was traveling with her friends. My in laws we’re planning an anual party they throw, my aunt was on a cruise, my mom had just gotten back from a trip, so my family and his traveling to us seemed like an impossible thing and he knows how important it is for me that they’re present. So I dropped it and decided to just wait it out.

Fast forward to March 3rd and he made plans for us to go to dinner,is not rare since we do date night every Friday so me having to get dressed up for dinner was not setting off alarms. We get to this hotel and he says that before we go to dinner he wants to take me somewhere, the the hotel has an indoor garden he wants to show me and when we get to the garden there right in the middle he had those huge light up letters that said “marry me”. As we walked to the letter he said the most amazing things about me,us and our relationship, then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him to which I said yes of course, through all of this I was crying like a lunatic 😂 and after he kissed he turned around and said “she said yes people!” And both of our families came into the garden and I cried more 😂. After I calmed down we all went and had dinner together and I haven’t stopped smiling since then.

After asking my fiancé how he pulled this off and why the day and the place it made sense and it made it even more special. He said it took him 6 months to plan because it was close to imposible to get everyone in the same place at the same time and the stories everyone had needed to be consistent and believable,he obviously needed to figure out the place he was going to propose and the flight and hotel arrangement for my family because they all arrived the day before.

And the reason for the day and place was because on March 3rd,2018 was the day he told me he loved me for the first time and we had a picnic date at a garden. It’s one of the things I love about him,he remembers the little things and makes them 10 times more special. We don’t have plans to marry any time soon, the only thing we know is that we want either a May wedding or an August wedding, that we want to focus more on the reception than a ceremony since it’s just us signing a paper(we’re not religious) and that it’s probably going to be a destination wedding.
