We all know how reddit feels about dating at work, so we will skip that. My question is focused on the things you have done to convey interest. What actions went beyond just being friendly?

  1. I asked her out like I would anyone else. I told her I liked her and invited her on a date. She agreed but cancelled… twice. I left it with “Let me know when you want to schedule” and she said ok. She never did get back with me so I had my answer.

After that interaction, she still had a professional attitude with me just like before, nothing changed at all. My guess is she didn’t want to make things awkward or maybe she did like me but knew she couldn’t get in a relationship at the time. I never pursued to find out.

  2. If I’m interested in a girl, I ask her out. Intent, then follow up with action. No coy gestures or cute side glances. Who’s got time for that?

I’d never do that with a girl at work, because I don’t want to lose my job.
