I’ve never gotten really far with dating apps (farthest point I’ve gotten with a girl is 6 dates), but I’ve noticed I always initiate the dates.
I understand the guy often has to lead things in the beginning, so I’m happy to plan the first 2-3 dates. Thereafter I suggest the girl plan the next date, but she usually says “I’m down for whatever” or half-asses the plan (e.g. last-minute shopping mall lunch date).
In each of these instances, things eventually fizzled out a couple dates later.
I’m tired of having my heart broken so am trying to identify red flags sooner. Am I being impatient or is a lack of initiative from the girl a sign to end things before getting hurt? Or do women have so many choices on dating apps a guy simply has to put in all the effort just to maintain their interest?

You see it in their profiles a lot – “looking for a guy who can keep that energy.”
That’s code for a guy who leads and will continue to lead forever.
