I know over Christmas there was a massive backlog and delays to post. Have they caught up?

I haven’t posted anything since Christmas cards. I’m wondering whether to send my mother’s Day card early?

  1. Seems to be caught up- had a parcel shipped on Saturday, got it yesterday.

Might be regional though, not sure. Send it early, no negatives from receiving an early mothers day card!

  2. Expect several days delay as being normal, had a bunch of 24 hour parcels arrive 2-3 days later

Had a “special guaranteed next day 1pm”, which is their most expensive option because its supposed to be guaranteed next day, arrive 3 days later…

  3. All but one parcel I’ve sent Tracked 24 has been delivered on time. I heard they’re prioritising those more expensive services though.

  4. It varies. International are backlogged, if your package gets to Milton Keynes, it’s a black hole, it’s a miracle if it gets out.

Domestic is hit and miss, some arrive within a day, others take forever. I find that shipping to Northern Ireland has been severely delayed in the past 2 weeks.

  5. Generally ok but the postpeople here still seem to be collecting letters for 2-3 days then delivering them all at once instead of daily.

  6. The last strike was Christmas eve.. the only issue recently was not being able to send international post because of a cyber attack. Have sent 3 2nd class parcels in the last week and they all took less than 48 hours to arrive.
