White Castle, Popeyes, Zaxbys
In and Out, apparently I am missing out.
Culver’s
Cook Out? Does that count?
Regional ones that get mentioned all the time on r/CFB
Culvers
Cookout
Cracker Barrel, Waffle House, White Castle, Whataburger, Cheesecake Factory Buffalo Wild Wings, Panera Bread, Noodles and Company.
Whataburger, Jack in the Box, Culver’s
Does it count if they aren’t in my area? In and out, whatta burger, del taco, etc..
I will add locally I have never been to long John silvers, or red lobster because I despise seafood. I also haven’t been in a Cracker Barrel because I don’t have my AARP card yet.
White Castle and In and Out are two I know exist, but I’ve never been nearby one.
I have never eaten from a Chipotle.
Arby’s, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, Maybe Burger King, all those California ones.
McDonald’s is our emergency fast food place on the road and and my kid actually likes Five Guys enough and go there at least 5 times a year.
I’m the mom that is too cheap to go to fast food places- “I can make you a better hamburger at home!”
Hardee’s In—n-out, Jack in the Box
I’ve never been to an In-and-Out and probably never will. Nothing I’ve heard about it appeals to me.
Sonic. Looks like too much bother.
Its not fast food, but the quality of the food might as well be.. but ive nwver been to the Olive Garden.
Chick-fil-A
Fuck them.
Found a list, and wow, more than I came up with off the top of my head:
In-and-Out, Jack-in-the-Box, Carl’s Jr (been to Hardee’s though, basically the same), Hunt Brothers Pizza, Tim Horton’s, Wawa, Jimmy John’s, Jersey Mike’s, Chester’s Chicken, Church’s Chicken, Papa Murphy’s, Firehouse Subs, Raising Cane’s, Bojangles, Del Taco, Culver’s, Zaxby’s
I was looking at the US/Canada-based options here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_largest_fast_food_restaurant_chains
As far as the US-based restaurants on [this list](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_largest_fast_food_restaurant_chains), I haven’t been to the following:
Hunt Brothers Pizza (never even heard of it)
Carl’s Jr. (I’ve been to Hardee’s, though)
Blimpie
Jack in the Box (when I was a kid, a couple boys died from eating here so I never felt the need)
Chester’s International (never heard of it)
Wingstop
Church’s Chicken
WingStreet
Papa Murphy’s (never heard of it)
MrBeast Burger (never heard of it)
Zaxby’s
Checkers and Rally’s
Whataburger
Qdoba
Del Taco
Captain D’s
Raising Cane’s
Charleys Philly Steaks (never heard of it)
Round Table Pizza (never heard of it)
Shakey’s Pizza (never heard of it)

I probably haven’t been to most of the other restaurants listed in years.
Texas Road House
Chick-fil-A
White Castle, Zaxby’s, Church’s Chicken – though one opened up here not too long ago, I just haven’t felt the need to go.
Husband and I have a fun argument that we solve every time we go to Las Vegas – Shake Shack vs In-N-Out. He prefers one and I prefer the other. So we eat at both every visit.
Waffle House, Cheesecake Factory, Popeyes
White Castle
Buc-ee’s (pronounced Bucky’s). We traveled thru Tennessee and Georgia on spring break last year and everyone recommended it for the BBQ, just never made it there.
I see there will be one near Madison WI next year, might hit that one at some point.
I’ve never been inside a Shoneys.
Texas Roadhouse
Zaxby’s
I don’t think I’ve seen one.
Having lived in the SW, MidWest, NE, and travelled to CA and TX, i think I’ve had almost everything else I’ve seen mentioned in this thread.
Here’s some un-asked-for opinions:
Freddy’s is nearly as good as In-n-Out.
LJS chicken is a hidden gem.
Culver’s is OK, the cheese curds are the redeeming factor.
Taco John’s > Taco Bell (potato olés… iykyk) not sure it counts as “large/famous” though
White Castle, Whattaburger, Chipotle, Zaxbys, and Bojangles are the ones I can think of. Mostly regional stuff I think, haven’t spent a ton of time in the south, lived in California for a minute so I got a few of those regional ones out of the way. There’s probably more in just not thinking of
